About James & Co
James & Co Residential Builders is a family-run building company based in North Epping, led by licensed builder and carpenter Chris James.
We specialise in repairs, remedial work and custom small building projects- particularly work that requires more planning, coordination and building expertise than a single trade can provide, without calling for a full-scale renovation company.
Chris grew up in North Epping and brings more than 15 years of hands-on residential construction experience. Over that time, he has worked on hundreds of projects across Sydney’s North Shore, from straightforward repairs and deck rebuilds to complex alterations and carefully considered work on older homes.
That experience has shaped the way James & Co approaches every project: understand the problem properly, define the work clearly and manage the right solution from start to finish. We know that small projects can still involve difficult decisions, several trades and significant disruption if they are not planned well.
As your main point of contact, Chris remains closely involved throughout the assessment, planning and construction process. He coordinates trusted trades and local suppliers as required, keeps communication clear and makes sure the work is carried out carefully, neatly and with respect for your home.
Our aim is to make an awkward or uncertain building project feel organised, understandable and properly looked after.
